Women in 3D Printing is an organization dedicated to promoting, supporting and inspiring women who are using Additive Manufacturing technologies.

Women in 3D Printing’s mission is to increase the visibility of women in the Additive Manufacturing field and encourage more women to use 3D Printing technologies.


Nora Toure is an Additive Manufacturing expert and engaged in inspiring women to embrace Tech. careers in the 3D Printing industry.

She started her career in the Additive Manufacturing in 2010 by joining online 3D Printing service leader, Sculpteo, as employee #8.
After 3 years in France, she relocated in San Francisco to open Sculpteo’s first overseas offices. She now leads Sales and Business Dev. for North America from the San Francisco office.

Nora founded Women in 3D Printing in 2014 to feature women leaders in the Additive Manufacturing sector through interviews and portraits. Barbara Hanna and Nora also initiated #3DTalk, a series of events in the Bay Area and beyond.
Pursuing her vision for more social inclusion, she recently joined 3D Africa as Board Advisor. 3D Africa is a youth and women economic empowerment program developed by the Youth for Technology Foundation (YTF), a nonprofit organization with years of experience combining education, technology, and economic development to transform economically challenged populations into self-sustainable communities. 3D Africa is part of the YTF’s Clinton Global Initiative 2016 Commitment to Action.
As part of her vocation to contribute to the development of the industry, Nora is also Board Advisor for 3DHeals. 3DHeals’ mission statements are to foster and educate the community about applications and innovations in healthcare 3D Printing as well as to facilitate global multidisciplinary collaborative innovations.

Oury Thomas is entrepreneurial-minded and passionate about technology with 8+ years in large and international events management worldwide (Europe, Middle East, Africa, China & the United States). He specialized in marketing for the tech industry with extensive experience in content marketing, lead gen strategy, partner programs, and creative experiential marketing campaigns.
He started his career working for the video game industry on the Paris Video Game Festival, 4th biggest video game convention worldwide. He has then been working for the World Economic Forum on their annual event in Davos and regional events across the world. This opportunity led him to work for the tech industry by joining ChoYou, a leading marketing agency in the IT world, where he was managing large account like Salesforce, Oracle, VMware, Box, Accenture, SAP… over EMEA to finally move to the Bay Area in the heart of Silicon Valley to continue sharing his experience and marketing skills to startups and people changing the world on various segment such as healthcare, 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, IoT, SaaS…

He helps setting up the vision and marketing efforts for Women in 3D Printing since 2014.

Helene Andre is marketing manager at French Tech Hub, an accelerator for French startups to successfully expand their business in the US.

As a marketing specialist, Helene leads market studies and customer validation to assess the business opportunities for startups in the US market.

Helene joined Women in 3D printing in 2016 to support the various communication and event activities of the group.

Helene is always willing to connect people with relevant contacts and to promote projects advancing gender equality in tech.

Barbara HannaBarbara Hanna is the founder of Cyant. Barbara is a Technologist and Entrepreneur passionate about fostering technology that educates, empowers and/or connects individuals.

She was recently CEO of a NY-based neurotechnology startup and previously, a Program Manager for a Brain-Computer Interface research program performed at Columbia University. Prior to that, she was a Member of Technical Staff at SRI’s Center for Vision Technologies (formerly under Sarnoff Corp.), where she was Technical Lead for Medical Initiatives, and worked on real-time video exploitation algorithms and products. She has developed relationships and worked with leading Universities and Institutions and has been an Invited Guest Critic and Presenter at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and at the Environmental Health Clinic xDesign Studio, NYU Steinhardt. She holds a BEng. and MEng. from the University of Cambridge UK, and a Ph.D. in Computer Vision from the University of Surrey, UK.
