Emily Coker is a shop supervisor overseeing the wood and metal shop at the Autodesk Technology Center in SF. She has spent the last 7 years working in high-tech wearing many hats from teaching at Make magazine to rapid prototyping and fabricating at Google X and Xerox, Parc. While working at PARC, Emily played a key role in many DARPA contracts including “Ocean of Things”.
She is adept at the latest machines and fabrication process in our modern shops. She is passionate about inspiring others through hands-on learning and the latest in tech and manufacturing tools. She is also the author of many publications including the book, “Make it Glow”, LED projects for the whole family.
