We're on a mission to make the 3D printing industry reflective of the world in which it operates.

Manifesto for the underrepresented in additive manufacturing

Who we are

Women in 3D Printing (Wi3DP) is a movement of individuals from all over the globe, from diverse backgrounds, gender identities, and socioeconomic statuses, who have come together to have a stronger voice in the additive manufacturing (AM) industry. We are driving beyond our organizational foundations in gender parity to create, support, and promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive – and thus more innovative – workforce. We work to ensure no one feels excluded while working in, learning about, or being inspired by this world-changing technology.

Our principles

We support and welcome everyone, no matter their gender, age, ethnicity, race, religion, socioeconomic background, disability, or sexual orientation.

We are respectful of everyone’s opinion, including those that contradict our own.

We celebrate diversity in all its forms, inherent and chosen alike.

We recognize that women’s rights are human rights.

We condemn oppression in all its forms and will always call it out when encountered.

We understand that you are a whole person and that there is more to you than your professional business card.

We allow and promote a safe space for all.

Our beliefs

Innovation is only possible when decision-making rooms represent the world in which they operate.

Agreeing to disagree with and to be challenged by our peers is a privilege everyone should welcome. This is how we grow and strengthen our understanding and our industry.

No one should feel isolated, ashamed, or unwelcomed as a member of the additive manufacturing industry.

Individuality is welcomed, and does not impede our ability to do our work.

There is power in the number of people who act for more diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Everyone in additive manufacturing and 3D printing is a badass!
