Inside Sales Representative


SLM Solutions is a leading provider of metal based additive manufacturing technology, commonly referred to as 3D printers, utilizing selective laser melting powder bed fusion technology.  Our 3D printers are designed to produce parts directly from a variety of metal powders.  The customers for our metal based additive manufacturing systems come from various industries such as aerospace, energy, healthcare, and automotive.  Headquartered in Lübeck Germany, SLM Solutions has approximately 420 employees worldwide.


The role of SLM Solutions Inside Sales Representative requires a high-energy, well-spoken, and diligent individual who is driven and motivated by researching lead generation in a capital equipment market. This role is crucial to supporting sales and marketing to identify new prospects, lead qualification, and customer satisfaction.  Responsibilities include data research to identify potential clients, follow up on targeted marketing campaigns, and analysis of effective methods for sales pipelines.


In addition, the Inside Sales Representative will:

·       Call on prospects from trade shows, e-marketing, trade and professional association membership lists, and other public records

·       Generate qualified leads by confirming prospects have a metal additive application that aligns to our product portfolio

·       Engage with outside sales for proper handoffs of warm leads

·       Manage CRM system of record and maintain potential customer records


Role requires no travel and will be remote



·       Minimum of 5 years’ experience in inside sales related to high end capital equipment

·       Superior communication skills via various methods including phone, email, and social media

·       Proven capability to interface with customers, prospects, and outside sales

·       Strong language skills and effective, professional communication style

·       Must be authorized to work in the United States

·       Strong computer and database skills
