Protopasta is made from pellets using small extrusion machines that produce a
filament. This molten filament is cooled using water and air, measured, and then
spooled onto eco-friendly corrugated spools. Each 1kg or 500g spool is then labeled,
packaged into a vacuum pouch, and boxed. Full boxes are then stocked in the
warehouse for future shipping.

In this role you’ll kick off your day working as a team to get 4 – 5 production lines
running. After things are started, one or two people will pull spools and package them
off the lines. The other team members are either mixing pellets with color or other
additives, making empty corrugated spools, preparing packaging materials, or cleaning
up. We work in a fast paced environment without much down time, but there is an
opportunity to switch between activities and get some variety during the day. We don’t
believe in quotas or piece requirements, just plenty to do so the time goes by quickly.

We are a small, growing company and our manufacturing techniques change and
evolve regularly. We rely on the flexibility and creativity of everyone to help find the
best ways to do things and suggestions for improvement are listened to. We believe in
giving everyone the opportunity to make things better and are excited about what you
can bring to the team.
