The Program Engineer will be a critical member of our team; helping facilitate the transition of R&D / engineering developments to manufacturing. A keen eye for detail and good communication skills are essential. This is very much a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ type of role, you should be able to manage timelines and schedules, work closely with suppliers and subcontractors, as well as get your hands dirty in the workshop.


  • Ensure successful transition from R&D to production, including designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist with design iterations and redesign of components.
    Act as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing.
  • Develop and closely track project schedules, driving manufacturing from development through handover to production.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and test prototype assemblies for proof-of-concept validation; create and maintain BOM’s; Documentation and release of ECO’s.
  • Manage R&D supplier relationships, ensure suppliers and partners remain on schedule. Comfortable with sourcing and managing supplier relationships.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, validate and manufacture 3D printers and supporting products from concept to production.
  • Ensure results are consistently maintained in JIRA / Confluence.
  • Maintain revision control and ensure security and fidelity of engineering data. Identify needs with regards to process, tools, and documentation, to optimize efficiency.
  • Proactively identify risk/opportunities and mitigation with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify creative ways to overcome obstacles and meet schedules despite setbacks.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering (or similar), or evidence of equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, in a mix of engineering, project and/or program management roles is preferred.
  • Able to communicate and interact with internal supply chain management and manufacturer sales representatives, component distributors and contract manufacturers.
  • Experience with JIRA (preferred) or other project management tools.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D design tools is required.
  • Experience in the product development process, including specification, documentation, compliance, revision control, and BOM is a plus.
  • Experience designing for 3D printing, machining, and sheet metal is a plus.
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability and DfMA analysis is a plus.
