The Sr. Buyer will support a rapidly growing, fast-paced, startup manufacturing environment to procure parts for 3D printers. Nexa3D’s manufacturing headquarters is located in beautiful Ventura, California, nestled between the Greater Los Angeles Metropolitan area and Santa Barbara County. In this role, you will be a central player at our rapidly expanding company. Your day-to-day work will include working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance groups to address short-term purchasing needs and map out long-term supply chain strategies aligned to company goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating and contracting for the procurement of materials, supplies, services, and equipment.
  • Develop and enhance purchasing standards and processes
  • Comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Work closely with Production and R&D groups to meet organizational production goals
  • Vendor scheduling and follow up
  • Vendor selection and development
  • Provide visibility to order status for critical builds
  • Identification of supply chain risks and contingency planning
  • Work within ERP system to place orders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years relevant work experience
  • 3 – 5 years management experience preferred
  • Experience with DEAR ERP systems preferred
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Business Acumen
  • Ability to work independently and create a good working culture.
  • Good communication skills and ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Related Certification such as CPSM, or CPIM is a plus.

Physical Capabilities Required

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Standing or sitting for extended length of time up to 80% of time.

Travel

  • This position could require limited travel <15%
