  • Recruit, train, and develop Workforce consisting of Assembly Technicians, Manufacturing Engineers, Procurement, Planners, Order Fulfillment, & Warehouse personnel.
  • Lead and manage manufacturing operations, including assembly of 3D printing equipment, end of line calibration and testing, and production of spare parts and consumables. Define and drive standard work.
  • Set weekly and daily production targets and ensure raw material availability to meet production targets. Manage supply chain risks and drive the Make vs. Buy and Supplier Selection processes.
  • Manage facility improvements and layout in support of business objectives, including roadmap to lean production, high flexibility, and reduced production costs.
  • Ensure health and safety of staff, and environmental sustainability
  • Direct Manufacturing Engineering to improve process quality, throughput, and successful launch of new products and validation of new processes.
  • Work with Product Engineering through ECO process to introduce product changes and launch new products
  • Work with Customer Success to support resolution of field issues, and production of spare part inventory
  • Integrate customer-centered quality into production processes, ensure adequate record keeping of quality data per QMS, and collaborate effectively with Quality department.
  • Support periodic quality audits.
  • Work with Accounting to ensure inventory is controlled and order processing is streamlined, including the operation and maintenance of data in ERP and/or MES system.
  • Escalate and resolve production issues as they occur
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment is properly maintained


  • BS or MS in STEM or Business Degree
  • 10+ years management experience in a factory environment (ie plant manager, production manager, quality manager, industrial engineering manager, maintenance manager, etc)
  • Strong bias for action.
  • Good organizational communication skills (able to manage up and down).
    Familiar with lean manufacturing, kaizen and six-sigma principles. Lean Master or Six Sigma Blackbelt desirable.
  • Familiarity with electrical assembly, hardware assembly, and software integrated systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experienced with negotiation and supply chain management.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing a plus.
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements and labor laws.
  • Experience with ERP / MES systems and implementation
  • Experience working in a quality system (ie ISO 9001) desirable
