  • Work with prospective customers of Additive Manufacturing equipment and sales team to mature and validate their use cases in support of printer and material sales.
  • Prepare 3D models for printing, including design of supports using NexaX and Magics software. Advise clients on Design for Manufacture best practices, as well as support design and orientation.
  • Validate application requirements by running sample parts, performing build simulations, creating cost estimates, and conducting repeatability studies.
  • Set up, maintain, and operate NXE400 photopolymer printers in our Flexible Factory as needed. Conduct live demos for prospective customers.
  • Post process printed parts, including washing in solvent, curing, support removal, polishing. Help identify scalable post processing solutions for customer applications and validate the workflows, materials, and equipment for their applications.
  • Inspect additively manufactured parts for conformance to stated requirements
  • Comply with health, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Provide detailed feedback and bug reports on prototype hardware and software
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives & document best practices for operation of printers in the Flexible Factory
  • Prepare models and files for sales samples and trade show events.


  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or other STEM Engineering Degree, or 5+ years experience in a similar role.
  • 2+ years experience working with 3D Printers / Additive Manufacturing
  • 3+ years experience with 3D CAD, mesh editing, and/or CAM software. Skill in modifying/ repairing .stl or mesh files using tools such as Magics, MeshMixer, and Blender highly desirable. Solidworks experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with basic inspection equipment and gages
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated aptitude for learning and creative problem solving – including design for manufacture, and ability to restate customer needs as product feature requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal direction
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and to meet customer deadlines on a regular basis
  • Experience interacting with customers and prospective customers and tacit understanding of typical customer expectations and needs for at least one major vertical (dental, medical, job-shop, factory, automotive, aerospace, etc)
