Morf3D is an additive manufacturing supplier for the aerospace industry, focused on the manufacture and certification of production flight hardware to customer requirements. Quality is an integral function at Morf3D and personnel in the Quality Department are involved in every aspect of the organization – from inception of contract, to production & engineering, until delivery of final product.

Position Overview

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that current quality system policies and procedures are maintained in accordance with company and customer quality requirements, while establishing and implementing new requirements as needed. While upholding quality principles and ensuring compliance within the company, the Quality Manager also leads internal, externals, and customer audits and qualifications in support of aerospace and industry standards. This role also manages and supports the operations of the Quality team, consisting of engineers and inspectors. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines “U.S. Person” a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

Job Duties / Responsibilities 

  • Validate that the implementation of quality assurance measures meets all specifications required by the company and customer
  • Provide engineering support to engineering and production personnel by ensuring the consistent application of quality techniques
  • Provide oversight and guidance on policy, procedures, and contractual requirements
  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources
  • Disposition non-conforming material, and track Correction Actions to ensure issues are addressed as well as implementing Preventive Action
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives
  • Provide training opportunities to ensure department personnel can obtain skills and knowledge necessary to successfully perform duties and responsibilities of job
  • Support Quality personnel in day-to-day operations, staffing, and overall guidance
  • Oversee supply chain operations in relation to quality compliance, including Approved Supplier List, outside processing orders, and certificates of conformance
  • Manage strategic compliance work, including NADCAP certification, AS9100 audits, NIST certification, facility security classification, and customer certifications


Must be proficient and serve as an example to others at the following:

  • Aerospace Standards, Quality Systems and Controls, AS 9100 Requirements
  • AS 9102 First Article Inspection (FAIR)
  • Contract Review, Manufacturing Planning Review
  • Company Procedure Creation
  • Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA)
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Internal/External Audits, specifically including NIST, NADCAP, AS 9100 and upcoming Cybersecurity Certification requirements
  • Customer Source Inspection

 Education / Experience 

  • 5 – 10 Years’ Experience as a Quality Manager in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment
  • PREFERRED: Master’s Degree, Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace)
  • REQUIRED: Compliant with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status (ITAR defines “U.S. Person” as a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident)
