LifeFormations a leading design and fabrication company in Cincinnati Ohio, is seeking a full-time 3D Print Engineer to join our growing 3D print team at LifeFormations. No specific engineering degree required but instead a curiosity of 3D print processes, materials and functions is preferred. Since our 3D printing capabilities continue to grow, expectation is that individual will always be learning and growing on industry trends and potential solutions to continue to revolutionize LF workflow. Duties within the department would include but not limited to:

·       Operate 3D printers, including loading new material and print files.


·       Post process parts, including support removal, washing parts utilizing mostly automated equipment, and sanding, filing as needed


·       Utilize project workflow tools to track the life cycle of the projects and print queue


·       Ability to maintain, troubleshoot and replace parts on printers as maintenance issues pop up


·       Work closely with designers and project coordinators to assemble projects as required and perform tests for prototypes as needed


·       Participate in routine tasks performed by all lab members, such as receiving shipments (up to 50lbs of weight) and breaking down packaging, waste removal, and clean up based on department leads designation


·       Should have experience in slicing software (PreForm, Chitubox, Simplify3d/Cura or similar)


·       Preference is for candidate to have some familiarity with 3D software


·       LF team will consider applicants that have less familiarity with software but have desire to learn through LF team members



·       Education: High School or Equivalent

·       Passion and Knowledge of 3D printing

·       Hands-on experience with fabrication or repair techniques (such as wood working, laser cutting, building computers, cosplay)

·       Problem-solver not afraid to figure things through trial and error

·       Candidate should have willingness and ability to switch priorities often
