Divergent is seeking an experienced and motivated Metrology Technician to support the next generation of industry-leading additive manufacturing machines. We’re committed to transforming the scale and speed of our 3D printing through the support of laser-line and structured-light scanning devices. To do this, we need a forward-looking and innovative Metrology Technician who will help shape the future of manufacturing.

What You’ll Do:

• Scanning printed parts using the FARO arm, Creaform scanner, or GOM ScanBox
• Creating PolyWorks inspections projects/reports
• Assisting the Metrology Lab Lead with various inspections and Quality-related tasks
• Assisting with maintaining Divergent’s Quality Management System (QMS) and controlled documents
• Assisting with the management and completion of NCRs in Jira
• Assisting with the maintenance of GAGEpack and Divergent’s calibrated devices
• Assisting with maintaining a clean and organized Metrology Lab
• Work cross-functionally to implement cost reduction, methods and product improvements, and support production activities
• Employee may be required to perform additional job functions beyond the description per Supervisors request

What You Have:

• Prefer a BS degree in a STEM subject or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience scanning/probing parts for inspection purposes
• PolyWorks inspection software
• Importing CAD models typically from internal engineers
• Ensuring alignment to the CAD model
• General knowledge of GD&T
• Strong organizational skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience creating reports
• Experience in metrology systems based on industry standards IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 17025, & ISO 9001
• Solid interpersonal skills, motivated self-starter who can managing personal workload and execution to tight schedule
• PolyWorks and CAD software
• Experience interfacing with Quality and manufacturing groups to understand production schedules
