Who we’re looking for:

A dynamic individual who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.  A social media jack of all trades who is passionate about audience engagement, excels in writing engaging content, and has a command of owning the channels as an extension of the marketing funnel – from audience awareness and engagement through interest and demand gen.  This person will manage multiple high-priority projects, and love leaning into new opportunities to use social as an accelerator for the company.

About this position:

This role is the voice of Carbon, supporting corporate communications, marketing, and demand generation. It requires someone who is hands-on to lead and execute: social media strategy, executive presence on social, audience development & engagement, and reporting & metrics.  You’ll partner across the company, from sales and technical experts to our highest levels of leadership.

Strategy & Planning

Develop the overall social media plan (paid & organic) tied to marketing OKRs to drive impact to the company.
Partner with the Communications team to drive company, executive thought leadership, and employee engagement.
Partner with the Demand Gen team to define, execute, and optimize engagement with customers and prospects.
Actively manage Exec presence and communications through LinkedIn and Twitter – honing the appropriate tone and voice.
Continually scan for new and innovative opportunities to use social as an engagement tool to expand our reach to product designers and engineers.

Manage and drive the social media content calendar, balancing the needs across comms, demand gen, customer stories.
Grow our reach, followers, and engagement with social being our primary outreach channel.
Be the first-line voice of Carbon, quickly responding to urgent company needs. Support Communications team to amplify major announcements, press releases, media coverage, etc.
Grow our abilities to use social as a channel for lead gen opportunities.
Monthly tracking, measurement, and optimization to continually improve our results.
About You:

Degree in communications, writing, or marketing
5-8 years social media experience in full-funnel marketing – from writing compelling content to owning the organic and paid strategies
Fluent with social platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) and management tools (Sprout)
Self-motivated, passionate, hands-on social media native who leans into opportunities
Strong business acumen and judgement, knowing how to evaluate multiple priorities
Strong understanding of social media KPIs
Ability to balance short- and long-term priorities, and quickly pivot priorities
Comfortable working in a high impact, high energy, fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
