We are looking for a skilled, motivated, and self directed engineer to join the Additive Manufacturing team and support our processes by growing our manufacturing automation, RPA and machine learning to drive efficiency through the factory. As a software engineer focused on integration, you will be a key member of our team, supporting additive manufacturing by developing software platforms to enable real-time analysis and decision-making! We are constantly innovating in the ways we are automating and accelerating the delivery of products using pioneering software and hardware technologies. We use the latest AWS technologies, data approaches, and ML to build distributed, highly available systems to achieve our goals!
Develop new tools and applications that enable Additive Manufacturing to automate existing processes and standardize on performance-based benchmarks
Develop and validate specifications for contracting equipment manufacturers
Contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of successful internet-scale systems and services in support of Additive Manufacturing and associated systems
Produce quality user documentation for defining integrations between enterprise-level applications
Adopt software DevOps technologies to tackle software automation problems
BA/BS in computer science, information science or related field; or equivalent practical experience
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and the ability translate domain expertise into applications
Proficient at object based programming (ie. Python, JS, C#, or Java)
Experience developing APIs and building applications on them in a production environment
Strong familiarity with SQL and database systems
Have an ability to take technical ownership, step in to help team members as needed, collaborate with team members to identify and fix technical problems
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Experience with developing interfaces in Inductive Automation’s Ignition.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or other cloud infrastructures.
Expertise using software DevOps to deploy applications.
Understanding of ERP, MES, and other common manufacturing software.
Experience with PLC programming, electrical design and modification of industrial control and safety systems
Interest in developing innovative IoT systems
