Batch.Works is an industry 4.0 design and manufacture studio, building a network of 3D printing factories to divert material away from landfill and into meaningful products. We are on a mission to create a sustainable alternative to old fashioned, wasteful production methods.
We are a rapidly growing business and we expect to expand into exciting new projects across multiple countries.
About the role:
As Batch.Works grows, so does our need for highly skilled designers to work on creative projects within the business. Your role will be to act as the bridge between clients and production. Working with our team to master and develop new and exciting ways to design parts specifically for the Batch.Works production facilities.
This will be the first design role within our team, so we’re looking for someone who will be passionate and motivated to build the sales team from the ground up.
Working with the BW team on design projects from conception directly to production
Working with internationally renowned clients to convert their designs into 3D printable files
Developing groundbreaking techniques for DFAM (Design For Additive Manufacture)
Working on research projects with the R+D team to bring our vision of distributed production and the Circular economy to life.
Degree in relevant design/design engineering discipline
2-3 years proven experience of delivering design solutions from concept to production
Excellent communication, presentation and problem solving skills
Fluent in relevant 3D modelling software (we use fusion 360)
Fluent in the adobe suite
Working autonomously, planning and owning your work, but seeking support and approvals where necessary
Eager to join a collaborative team
Hard-working and self-starting
Passionate about making the circular economy a reality
