Wi3DP-Seattle’s Co-Host Bethany Weeks will teach guests how to use the free surface modeling program, Meshmixer over this 90 minute lecture.
She will walk you through the tools she uses the most to create 3D printable models and provide tips that she’s learned from making the 50+ models she’s created and shared on Thingiverse.
Feel free to follow along as she models a Kirby (shown below) from scratch by downloading and installing Autodesk’s Meshmixer available here for Mac and PC computers:
It is also highly recommended to have a three-button mouse to use while modeling.
NO prior understanding of CAD or computer modeling is required!
Note: A link to the online Google Meet will only be emailed out to ticket holders.
About Women in 3D Printing
Join local Women in 3D Printing Seattle Ambassadors, Bethany Weeks and Amrita Basu, every month for an educational and fun evening that frames itself around 3D printing. RSVP is free but required in order to attend our events.
This is a meetup series for 3D printing enthusiasts to meet and discuss with new faces and 3D printing veterans. Our events are always open to all gender identities.
We hope to see many of you during these events every month and look forward to connecting!
Be sure to look for the Women in 3D Printing sign.
